Studio scale sci-fi models from TV and Cinema We make models in studio scale or larger ! these models are static representations of the original studio models used These are not resin moulds or cast plastic there are 1st generation prototyping models taken from a 3d file and printed out: using SLA and FDM printing technology. Every single model I make are printed out on peopoly phenom L Anycubic max and cr-10 printers .these are the largest printers available on a primary layer height of 0.1000 mm or even less! That’s about as fine as you can print with in practical time frame (parts can take weeks to print out) with 3d The SLA printing has no lines at all! however due to the scale of some of the models we make FDM printing is also used and Even at this quality you still have visible lines with this PLA plastic which would be visible in the BASIC options , ABS is much finer but not stable and prone to warp and cracking during the process and not good for production of large models like these. This is basically a plastic model with a honey comb structure between the layers as its builds up ;FDM it can tolerate temp; to 150 degrees before any warping might occur SLA has no issue with heat It takes roughly 2 to 3 months to complete one model this includes the fine sanding and painting time; (this time frame is is based on availability of the printers at the time of making your ordering it is first come bases ) I have currently 12 printers printing models 24 /7 and I am adding more printers all the time, Complete models or Display models This is a complete model finished and painted with lighting (if lighting was shown ) with decals and stand as seen in the photos of the completed models that have been ordered . In some of our range we do offer BASIC and kit form to the more skilled model makers however ! please note these will require a lot more skill and clean up ; Basic has no clean up or per preparation done to the model Kit are the same as buying a plastic model kit and assemble and finishing is required the web site will indicate which models are available in these options Depending on the size of the model (some these models will be over 4 feet long) Some; sub-assembly and slight touch up of paint at the joint areas may be required . As many of these are unique studio size models and also large models ,they require extra protection for shipping. The built finished models will be shipped in wooden crates for total protection which will be an extra costs. SHIPPING is done by getting a basic quote from the shipping company once the model is compete and packaged to get a total shipping price at which time payment would be made for shipping .we recommended that you do not take the cheapest options and that you request that the shipping company will cover the full value of the model should damage occur . once the model leaves our hands we are not responsible for damages that my occur ! Payment Payment process payment can be made PayPal craggsmodels or bank transfer. These are made to order models so payment must be made before any work is started. And no refund is possible once we start making your model
